A spruce wood panel worked entirely by hand, measuring 30 × 30 cm.
The surface is carved slowly, incision after incision, to create a texture of deep vertical waves. A gesture repeated for hours leaves a living, almost organic rhythm in the wood, like a trace emerging from the material.
Coloured oil penetrates the wood and its cavities, creating variations of ochre that change with the light and the angle of the viewer’s gaze.
Ochre Waves 1024 3030 emerges from a slow, patient process in which material, gesture and time build a living surface.
