Turquoise Waves 5018 3030
Turquoise Waves 5018 3030
A spruce wood panel worked entirely by hand, measuring 30 × 30 cm.
The surface is carved slowly, incision after incision, to create a texture of deep vertical waves. A gesture repeated for hours leaves a living, almost organic rhythm in the wood, like a trace emerging from the material.
Coloured oil penetrates the wood and its cavities, creating variations of turquoise that change with the light and the angle of the viewer’s gaze.
Turquoise Waves 5018 3030 emerges from a slow, patient process in which material, gesture and time build a living surface.

The effect of the waves varies with the orientation of the work and the direction of the light. Side lighting or light from above is recommended to best reveal its depth.
Wood is a natural material. Slight variations in colour or form may occur over time without affecting the integrity of the work.
