A spruce wood panel worked entirely by hand, measuring 40 × 30 cm.
The surface is carved slowly, incision after incision, to create a texture of deep vertical waves. A gesture repeated for hours leaves a living, almost organic rhythm in the wood, like a trace emerging from the material.
Coloured oil penetrates the wood and its cavities, creating variations of black that change with the light and the angle of the viewer’s gaze.
Black R Waves 3040 emerges from a slow, patient process in which material, gesture and time build a living surface.
