Deep Orange 725

Deep Orange 725 — spruce wood panel worked entirely by hand, measuring 10 × 30 cm.

The surface is carved slowly, hole by hole, to create an organic texture of 725 deep cavities.

Unlike the works in the Tarlo project, the Back to Nature series has deeper perforations, designed so that insects and small organisms may gradually inhabit them over time.

The Deep Orange colour penetrates the wood and its cavities, creating an intense, tactile surface. An outdoor treatment protects it for exposure to the elements.

Part of the Back to Nature project, the work grows from the idea of returning wood to its natural environment after human intervention, allowing time, moisture and the surroundings to continue transforming its surface.
